It’s so easy to be all or nothing in today’s world. I know, it’s one of my greatest faults. And, over time it’s a killer:
Have you ever thought any of these?
- I’ll update my business records this week, I can wait and get it all done later.
- If I can’t work out for one hour every day then I ‘m not going to work out at all.
- I don’t have time to stretch. (Inside your head, you’re thinking that you need to hook up with the perfect stretch guru in a mountain top meadow filled with flowers, fast for two days and then stretch for 6 hours for it to really be effective.)
- I’ll start my diet again next month. (Because you messed up on April 6th and you want to have a perfect month where you can digitally track all of your vital signs and plug in perfect numbers to your calorie tracker app.)
I’m not going to continue, but I bet if you are “all or nothing” in your personality that you could come up with a few more examples.
The video I’m sharing this week counteracts the “all or nothing mentality”. It also gives you a pick-me-up when you need it most- when you are chained to your desk. So, please take these babysteps and feel better. It’s time to beat down the “all or nothing” monster!
